Zbook G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have 3 x Zbook G3's and none of them are able to use the fingerprint sensor. Windows 10 x64 or Windows 7 x64. The biometrics device will not show up in device manager and I have spent hours googling how to fix it to no avail. I have installed the latest fingerprint drivers from HP and the HP client security, failing to get it working. I have enabled it in: Local Group Policy Windows Templates> Windows Components> Biometrics. Then under Services ensured that Windows Biometric Services are running. Anyone get it working, any help would be appreciated!

Are you sure your machines have this option because Fingerprint reader (available on select models only). Your machines may have small windows look like finger print reader BUT no sensors inside.

Banhien, you are right it looks like a fingerprint reader but how can I tell if it is or not? Is there a way to test other than pull the back off the laptop?
