If you don't want to risk updating the BIOS using W10, you can make a bootable BIOS update USB flash drive.

 

HP ProBook 6550b Notebook PC Software and Driver Details

 

 Create a bootable USB Key to update the system BIOS.

 

I've attached the Word document below for the ways to update the BIOS.
