Hello Guys, i did the newest BIOS update on my 15-bs530ng notebook for no reason, I just saw it and did it. After doing it, it says display could flash some times, but my display didnt flash, instead I had a black Screen. So I decided to turn it off and turn on again and from now on I have no picture just a black Screen. I have searched so many methods none of them worked. I did: windows + b / v used an usb to flash new bios opened the back and replaced the cmos battery tried to spam esc or any other f key but im not sure which one would do anything.

please help me, Im a student and really need my notebook for University.

Hi @ceffet

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

There are a few more steps you can try:

1. Perform a Hard Reset

  • Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if possible).
  • Press and hold the power button for about 15-20 seconds to drain any residual power.
  • Reconnect the battery and power adapter, then try turning it on again.

2. Check Display Connections

  • If you’re comfortable, ensure that the display cable is securely connected to the motherboard. A loose connection can sometimes cause a black screen.

3. Try External Display

  • Connect your laptop to an external monitor using HDMI or VGA. This can help determine if the issue is with the internal display or the laptop itself.

4. BIOS Recovery

  • If you have a USB drive prepared with the BIOS update files, you can attempt to recover the BIOS:
    • Turn off the laptop.
    • Press and hold the Windows + B keys, then press the power button. Keep holding the keys until the BIOS recovery screen appears.
