Hello
I have a HP Note book 15 with AMD A8 7410 with Radeon r5 graphics. I bought this laptop roughly 5 years ago, and it was running on Windows 8.1 64 Bit. A couple weeks ago, I wanted to upgrade windows 10 with the windows 10 media creation tool. I downloaded it on this website https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10. Then I upgraded it into windows 10 single home language 64 bit. At the first boot, it was fine. After the boot, Ive installed the latest Amd Adrenaline 2020 software then when I restarted my laptop, logged in then suddenly theres only a cursor and a black screen. I quickly rolled back to windows 8.1 and it worked perfectly on the windows 8.1.
Then, 2 days ago ive upgraded my laptop windows 8.1 to windows 10 again. Since the new adrenaline 2020 sotfware was super laggy and maybe caused the black screen so I installed old drivers instead. After installing driver. It happened again. I watched youtube vids and fixed it temporarily. The way I 'fixed' it by shutting down or restarting the laptop in order to boot up windows 10. It is quite a hustle and very frustrating. It eats up to 15-20 minutes just to boot up the laptop. I hope theres a solution to this.
My specs
Amd A8 7410 with radeon r5 graphics and also a radeon r5 m330
6 gb of ram
WIndows 10 Home Single language 64 Bit
DDR3 ram

You should not be forcing drivers from AMD onto your laptop. That is the problem as many laptops have specialized video hardware that does not work well with the drivers from AMD.
IF you want to try upgrading again to Win10, then the first thing I would do is save off the Win8.1 drivers to a USB stick. If the upgrade goes well, then do NOT force the install of AMD drivers. IF the upgrade results in video issues, then try restoring the Win8.1 video drivers that you saved.

After upgrading it, it says microsoft basic display adapter on my device manager. Then I installed the previous drivers from windows 8.1 Amd Crimson Relive Edition version 16.2.2 but then after installing it, my drivers wont show up on the device manager. So then The only way i install the drivers is downloading the Windows 10 Amd Crimson relive edition version 16.2.2. Well it worked for the first couple of boots but it doesnt permanently solves the problem. Sometimes i do get black screens. Any solutions?
