HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 15-ds1086nr

While doing homework last night black and colored vertical lines appeared on the screen. It is a touchscreen and if I put any pressure on it, it seems to worsen. I have restarted and cleaned it but the line still appears. I'm assuming it is a hardware issue but I do not know much about computers to know what to do.

It is an HP Envy x360. Got it Sept. 19, 2020. Been such a good computer, would hate to have to get a new one.

Hardware or software issue? Can I fix it alone? Will it crash soon? Do I need to get a new one?

Connect the laptop to a smart TV  using an HDMI cable. In the TV's menu select PC input and make sure you are connected to the correct port.

Start up the laptop.

You may have to use the Windows key + P (windows presentation selection) to see output on the TV.

If you see a normal Windows display, it means  that the laptop's display itself has issues, but not the system board or video output.
