Looking for solutions
Attempting to upgrade my RAM from 8gb factory DDR5 4800 to Single 16gb Crucial DDR5 4800.
Crucials website lists as compatible, but I am not posting.
Power and fans turn on, but the screen will stay black. I have attempted to allow to sit for 15 minutes or so to "train the memory" as Ive read elsewhere.
Tried holding power button for 30 seconds after power off the reset CMOS.
Original RAM has no issues posting.
I will be attempting to use another set of RAM in the coming days, but any tips or nuances to HP products would be appreciated.

Which slot did you put the 16GB module in? Try them both.
If you bought the module directly from Crucial and they guaranteed it to be compatible, request a refund.
Otherwise try two of the HP 8GB modules. {Parts reference is the Maintenance & Service guide)
8 GB L46598-001

Could there be something in the process that I'm doing incorrectly?
If you tried both slots, the module is either DOA (dead on arrival) or incompatible.
You can ask the vendor you bought it from for an RMA because of DOA.
The preferred way to install memory is to either use static free gloves or a wrist ground strap if you happen to be walking on carpet before installing the memory. The static charge from carpet will destroy a memory module.

That is peculiar, but I am using the Maintenance & Service guide for your laptop. It is an official parts reference for HP service engineers. It shows the wrong part!
https://kaas.hpcloud.hp.com/pdf-public/pdf_6019410_en-US-1.pdf
The HP PartSurfer. does show the DDR5-4800 module with part number M97595-001
https://partsurfer.hp.com/?searchtext=9Z7L4UAhttps://partsurfer.hp.com/
Use the laptop's serial number to search for a parts database listing for all parts specific for your laptop.
What is the part number on the factory installed memory module?
If it was sent out installed in the laptop, it was tested and certified to work with it by the HP quality assurance testing laboratories.

I found the module matching what was factory installed.
See my previous post,
I updated it when I used the part surfer search for your specific laptop.
MTC4C10163S1SC56BD is not the HP Part number. It is the Micron part number.
The problem is that the part number is good for finding vendors when you live in Europe, not the US.
