Last night my battery slipped out of my laptop and now when I go to turn it on, the lights on the keyboard light up but the screen stays black. There's also an orange light on the side of the laptop that stays on.

When the charger is connected, the screen still stays black and the fan doesn't run or anything. The model number is 15-f272wm. I'm not sure how to find the operating system without getting on the computer.
