HP Recommended

I left my laptop to charge for a few hours and when I returned, my power button keeps rapidly blinking white and charging light is constantly on, white as well.

 

I tried plugging in the charger and taking it out, doesn't change anything. 

 

I pressed down on the power button but about 40 seconds, nothing changed. 

 

I'm not familiar with these types of things and was wondering jf there's something I can do about it or if it's better to seek a professional.
