Blu ray optical drive

Hi all, I would like to fit a blu ray optical drive in place of my DA8-AESH 127X128X9mm. The model I have in mind is a Pioneer BDR-UD03B  I`ve seen slightly different dimensions for this model, [content removed] has dimensions 128x9x129mm. As you can see 1mm out here and there..  I would appreciate some help if you have sucseeded to change up to a blu ray, many thanks Martin.

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

The Service Guide does not mention Bluray but you can definitely replace the DVD Drive with a Bluray and it will work

But the only issue is the size. It has to be the same size as the DVD Drive to fit in since this is a Note book and the chassis size differs

Yes that would be a smart move, else you might end up with a different size Bluray Drive. Replacing parts in Notebooks is always tricky because chassis size differs unlike Desktops ☺️
