Hi there,
my notebook HP 17-by2631ng has a built-in HP DVDRW GUE1N drive. My questions: is it possible to change this DVDRW drive for a BluRay drive? I do not open the notebook until now (guarentee period is running). Any suggestions for a good BluRay drive?

I understand that you would like to install BluRay drive for HP 17-by2631ng.
(HP does not recommend upgrades as the device is equipped with parts that perform at its optimal performance and also, the upgradeable parts listed in HP articles are purely for your ease, though the decision to upgrade will be at your own discretion)
I would suggets you purchase the external BluRay drive.
