Setup: HP Elitebook 1030 G2 hooked up to an HP USB-C dock; dock is connected to
- USB keyboard
- USB mouse
- USB headset
- network
- 1 external monitor via HDMI
When switching inputs on my monitor from my desktop (using DisplayPort) to my HP USB-C dock (using HDMI), the graphics are blue. When I switch back to my desktop and immediately back to my HP USB-C dock, graphics are fine. Problem is that after so many minutes (not sure how many) the issue comes back, even if I stay on the HDMI input and the laptop just goes to sleep. I have to keep switching to DisplayPort and back to HDMI to show my Elitebook graphics - a real pain.
If I connect my laptop directly to the monitor via the same HDMI cable, everything works great. So, its something with the USB-C dock.
Has anyone else encountered this?
BTW - I've tried gen 3 and gen 4 USB-C dock and different power supplies - same issue.
Thanks for your help.
