I have this product for 2 years and some months and never had problems.
Since last week, out of the blue the bracket key started behaving like a control key.
This computer only has one control key on the left, and on the right side is an open bracket / close bracket key (screenshot below), First I tried the usual fixes. Update drivers, bios, firmware, etc. Nothing working, I went into bios mode, test the keyboard, and when I press the key it shows me a right control on the virtual keyboard. So, it's not a malfunctioning key.
Then I tried to change keyboard layout configurations, disabled all sticky keys and things like that and nothing,
The last thing I do was a clean install of the computer, a full reset, and the created a local account of windows, installed everything from hp assistants and drivers and it keeps the same, The key just behaves like another key that doesn't exist.
I've also tried all of the other keys on the computer, will all the possible modifiers, and the brackets are not mapped to any of them. I'm now using an external keyboard so I can use the key. I do web design, so imagine what it feels to lose the opening and closing brackets. If anyone can help, I would be much appreciated.
