I've got a brand new Envy x360 laptop and wanted to know if anyone else notices poor battery performance during light usage. This machine is less than two weeks old and I'd purchased it new in box and I'm seeing about 4 hours of battery life at best. I'll do my best to explain my use habits and what I've observed.

 

Use case: Browsing internet on Chrome, streaming video from YouTube, connected to a strong WiFi signal
Screen brightness: <25%
Not utilizing keyboard lighting
Peripherals: Bluetooth ear buds
Background processes: Discord, Outlook, OneDrive, standard Windows services

My CPU isn't spiking above 50% nor sustaining above 15% during these activities. I've uninstalled/reinstalled battery drivers. Chrome is truly taking up a majority of my battery consumption according to the Battery Usage Per App feature, and I can confirm 3 hours and 55 minutes best performance during the past three actual use sessions as published by the report generated by powershell powercfg /batteryreport command.

Hello Treeko.

I have followed the instructions in this video and am noticing the same performance as before. This did not seem to help the issue.

I never had a problem with the percentage indicator, I truly just have only 4 hours of battery life at best.
