I recently purchased a HP Envy x360 2in1 laptop. I have had the laptop for no longer then 2-3 weeks. For the whole time I have used it I have been experiencing a loud fan noise. Everything works fine, but the fan is extremely loud, and it is becoming very disturbing.

I suggest entering the BIOS to verify that the always on setting for the fan is not enabled.

To enter the BIOS, press the power button and immediately tap the F10 key.

Unfortunately I tried that and it was off.  So must be another issue

In power options is "performance mode" selected?

If it is, change it to balanced.
