So i bought this laptop brand new from a retailer, not open box, not damage, completely sealed, box in perfect condition.

I get it home, and the next day I unpack it and plug it in, boot it up a while later works just fine connected to AC but shows 0% and not charging. It had been connected to the outlet for a decent amount of time so it should have had some charge, but it's at 0% and not going higher. I check online an try reinstalling the driver for the battery, but no luck. I run a system diagnostic on startup and get a notification that the battery has completely failed.

Check with the retailer, but this laptop was on clearance and they don't accept returns once open. I go to this website to get support, and when i put my S/N in the site says that the warranty has expired and has been expired for 2 years.

I am contesting the warranty status, but I also need the laptop replaced, and ideally soon since it is needed ASAP. Is there any way to get support for this?

Sounds about right. The laptop is 3+ years old. You can't leave a rechargeable battery sitting that long.
