Hey @NasifJK,

I recommend purchasing a new charger and trying it out, as it seems to be causing the issue. I hope this helps!

@NasifJK, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

It sounds like you're having trouble with the charging cable and the broken plastic covering. Since it’s the outer plastic that’s broken, the cable itself might still be functioning, but the damage could prevent the charger from connecting properly to your Chromebook. Here’s what you can do:

Inspect the Charger and Cable:

Check for visible damage: If the actual charging cable is intact (no fraying or exposed wires), you might be able to fix it temporarily by wrapping it with electrical tape to hold the parts together. This isn’t a permanent fix, but it might work in a pinch.

Look for a Replacement Charger:

You can look for replacement on the part store: Click here

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
