Yesterday, I have found my laptop screen broken. But the warranty has been expired more than a year ago. I would like to know from the experts if it is possible and recommended to upgrade my original HD (30 pins) LCD to an FHD LED or LCD?
1) If possible and not recommended, I would like to know what problems I could face.
2) If not possible, please guide me briefly what I should do.
Thanks a million in advance.
Regards,
Dittakavi.

Thank you for showing your interest in HP Support Forums. It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel. I see from your post you need information and assistance related to display. No worries, I'll be glad to help you
To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:
Have you tried to contact our HP phone support for assistance?
For more details on the display, please go through the Maintenance and Service guide - Click here
Here you will find the list of parts which are compatible and tested for your PC.
Chapter 3. Illustrated parts catalog - page number 19 - you have with the spare part number listed.
Laptop Screen is HD , is that possible to replace with Full HD - Yes, You can go through the maintenance and service guide and there is a list of parts and you can try one of the parts which should be compatible with your PC.
If the issue occurred after an accident (such as dropping it on the floor, etc.) there could be a additional charges in such cases to get the computer repaired via HP service centers.
If you wish to try other parts you can try it at your own discretion, HP Doesn't recommend any upgrade/downgrade of any hardware parts or software that is bundled with the product. It may affect the manufacturer's warranty and performance.
Alternatively, You could replace the part on your own, use the HP Parts surfer to identify the part: Click here & order it via the HP Parts store (Click here).
If you find difficulty replacing the part, I will share you a private message with details. Please watch your inbox for more information.
Let me know if this helps!
Have a great day ahead! 🙂
If I have helped you resolve the issue, feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below,

Hello Mr. Jeet Singh,
Thank you very much for the quick response to my post. As you have provided me with a manual regarding the compatible screens for my laptop (15-au620tx), I have gone across all the parts you have mentioned. But, notably, I have found that a few of them possess 40 pins where in my case, my laptop has 30 pins screen. Do you think those screens fit and work properly?
Also, I would like to inform you that I have purchased my laptop in India and I currently, reside in Italy. I would like to have a few suggestions from you regarding where I can find the genuine FHD screen for my laptop if I have to order online.
Best regards,
Dittakavi.
