Hey everyone, i have an HP Envy x360-15m-bp112dx and the power button is broken. The button itself is stuck in and doesn't function. When you open the bottom case, you can see that the plastic pieace that connects the button to the board is broken. What part(s) would I need to repair this? I have searched but not sure if i am seeing the right part number.

Thank you!

Philip

You are going to have to source a broken notebook of the  HP ENVY x360 15-bp100 notebook series to get the part.

Take a look at eBay.

Find one that has a broken or cracked display to serve as a parts source. Broken display units are usually the lowest priced.

Otherwise, you will need to purchase a system board.  The part you have described is not sold separately.

Hi,

I believe you mean the power button on the side of the notebook. The back part of the button has broken off? I do not believe it is a motherboard problem, but the actual button is broken. That part (the button) would come together with top cover which is going to be an expensive fix. Can you not try to repair the button in some way, with some epoxy glue, by adding a small piece of plastic so that it makes contact with the switch on the motherboard?

Maybe you could post a couple of pictures.

Let me know,

David
