HP 15-R132WM Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP-R132wm Pentium Notebook. Product #K7W77UA.

When I was taking it apart to test the charge input my charger input jack on both ends, I accidentally broke the clip that holds the powerstrip because I did not realize it was a clip that I pop up before I pull the strip out, so when I pulled it, the tiny black clip broke. I was able to place the strip back in the powerstrip insert, and I placed a piece of scotch tape over it in order to hold it secure.  Does this clip need to be on the insert in order for the strip to make a connection?

Also, I tested my charger which is working perfectly,  and I tested my charger port entry and exit to make sure it was receiving a charge from the charger and it was working perfectly as well.

Since the new battery replacement will not turn on the laptop, I am wondering what else it could be.

Thank you!

I reviewed your post and I understand that the battery is not getting charged and the power strip clip is broken.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

Can you share a picture of the power strip clip you are referring to?

For the battery charging issue, I recommend you update the BIOS from the below link and check if it helps.
