Broken Screen Hinge

Hi, the right screen hinge on my computer just broke - missing screws, broken plastic, won't rotate, bending my DVD drive, etc. I'm looking to fix it. So far I have been told it would cost the same amount to fix as it would to just buy a new computer since it would include an entire screen replacement. I'm hoping someone here knows a cheaper company, person, method, etc. I could use to fix my laptop. I need it for school and work.

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer. 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty.
