The USB-receiver of the wireless keyboard-mouse combination seems to be broken. The cover fell off (as seen in the image) and the connector seems to be a little bit bent as well. When plugging into the computer, it does recognize the connector with the typical windows sound when plugging someting in, but it does not react to any inputs I give to the keyboard and mouse. For both I also tried new batteries.
Is it possible to repair the connector? Because HP support is not able to help me. Thanks four your help!

There is no image, that you alluded to, in your post.
Look at mouse and keyboard to see if there are pairing buttons.
If there are none or there are but there is no effect when holding them in, you can consider a universal dongle by LogiTech or replacing the set.
If you are hearing the windows connect/disconnect sound, it may still be working. Open Device Manager to see if it is working and has a driver installed by Windows.
It is a shame, but inadvertently breaking small stuff happens to everyone.

Hi Erico,
Thanks for your message and for your help!
Sorry, forgot to attach the image (and also for the late reply, E-Mail was in my spam). I guess it also wore off from plugging it in and out repeatedly.
Unfortunately, there is no pairing button on either the keyboard or the mouse. There is just a switch on the mouse to turn it on or off. Regarding the dongle by LogiTech, do you mean the Unifying Receiver? Because I'm afraid that one won't work either, as there is no parining button. Or will it work? Really don't want to replace the whole set with everything but the receiver still works.

"Really don't want to replace the whole set with everything but the receiver still works."
If the receiver still works and just the cap is broken, plug it in and use it.
Otherwise, you will have to replace the mouse/keyboard set.

Sorry, maybe I was a bit unclear. The receiver does not work, but I'm pretty sure the mouse and the keyboard still work. I'm assuming that because suddanly at the same time, with both the keyboard and the mouse I was not able to create any inputs. So I'm excluding that they are broken, as it would be a very unlikely coinsidence that both of them break at the same time.
But about the logitech universal receiver, is that also not going to work?

The logitech universal receiver is not going to work. It only works with devices that have logitech's unifying symbol.
