Zoom meeting this morning revealed a broken webcam? Is this something that I can repair myself?

Looks like the lens cracked as if it took a blow or something or something is on the lens. However, to answer your question, a replacement webcam module can be ordered and replacement is not terribly hard to do. Do you feel comfortable with a screwdriver disassembling a laptop? If so we can point you to a Manual or perhaps a video with instructions and a replacement web cam module. The part will not be very expensive; well under $50 I would think and likely a lot less than that.

You might find it easier just to get an external usb webcam. The quality of the picture will be much better than the built in webcam on a laptop and you could have one tomorrow from amazon.com.

Yes, I am comfortable with doing the repair.

My apologies, I just saw the last line about an external webcam. That's a great option to consider! Thank you very much!

Thank you! My husband picked up a webcam for me and I'm just going to go that route instead of repairing my laptop. Thank you!
