HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 13-ay0153ng

Good day,

one of the hinges on my HP Envy x360 broke right on time after the official warranty period. Since it is a convertible, this is especially annoying. The notebook is only used for student work and is carried in a padded laptop bag, has never been dropped or otherwise used improperly. After some research, I found that this is unfortunately a common problem with these models and is due to a manufacturing fault.

The only good thing is, that the display still works and as long as the laptop is stored in a neutral, 90 degree open position, everything seems normal. But when the lid is opened/closed further, the broken hinge presses on the display from behind and thus pushes it out of the lid. Transport and taking notes at university are thus no longer possible, which is the main use of the device. It's a shame because it is fully functionally otherwise and I really liked this notebook up until this happened.

Can someone from the HP support team help me, as this is obviously a production defect?
Thank you in advance for any advice and answers.
