Broken hinge HP Envy x360

One of the hinges on my laptop has become unaligned so it makes it impossible to open the laptop without pushing the screen out of the casing and cracking the screen. Nothing happened to cause the hinge to be like this, it has worked perfectly for almost 3 years and then all of a sudden I can't open the laptop. I have read that a lot of other people have had a similar issue and it's really frustrating to think that this might not be a fixable problem when the rest of the laptop is perfectly fine and works extremely well, I just need to be able to realign the hinge.
