I have a HP Envy and for the second time one of the hinges broke any suggestions on if thy have been recalled?

There is not going to be a recall on hinges as recalls are for safety issues. I would try to make a warranty claim if possible or wait and see if an HP Support person comes in and takes this thread over and asks you to communicate by PM. Good luck.

Yeah this is a huge reoccurring problem affecting thousands of hp laptop owners. It needs to rectified asap by hp
