HP Envy x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hello

My HP Envy 360 right hinge came loose and due to this my screen cracked and has popped out from the frame. today - 11.01.2021.  As a result of this I can't  close my laptop or put the screen back in place.  My laptop was purchased end of 2018 so there is no warranty any longer.  I have only used the laptop with normal wear and tear. I never had anything happen like this with any of my previous laptops. My Envy should have lasted longer than 3.5 years.

This is my work laptop and I really like this model. I haven't gotten a quote from Best Buy where I purchased it from yet. I would at least like to be able to confidently open and close the lid again and not worry that I am causing more damage. Is there any way HP can please help and provide a solutio n so I can get my Envy back working as normal again.

Thanks

LaPeriall

Hi@Lpjones75,

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Apologies for all the inconvenience

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. This sounds like hardware related issue with the hinge assembly and in order to fix this issue,  your computer needs to be serviced.  As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now.

I would request you to reach out to our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to check the available service options in order to diagnose the computer physically.  HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link:  www.hp.com/contacthp/
