- Broken hinge, now a cracked screen

My left hinge popped a few times, I pressed the plastic panel back in, then the 3 screws that go into a plastic bracket (who would design this?) popped out. I got everything back in with epoxy, but not before the monitor suffered a diagonal crack the touch screen function was broken, so I removed that driver and turned it off. Now it sometimes caused a quirky cursor, goes away and blinks fast, and several round ghost tabs show up in various places on the screen. Basically, it's hit or miss whether I can actually use this laptop. The screen is definitely the problem, but of course, I'm out of warranty. Do I have any options to replace the screen w/o spending the price of a new laptop? After this experience, not a fan of HP ever again.
Thanks,
Howard

It is not good customer service to not acknowledge a design flaw. How people's computers have to break before HP recalls all of them because of a design flaw? Mine broke and is only a few years old. It was never dropped or abused. The hinge just exploded. Never buying anything HP again - ever!
