Broken hinges on my HP 17.3 Laptop

I was hearing a crackling noise when opening or closing my Laptop then some pieces broke off and I can't close my laptop or it will break further. I am very disappointed especially since I have seen this is a common issue with HP Laptops. My warranty is up and now I can't take my laptop with me, it just stays open like its a desktop.
