I bought my Omen a month ago and one of the keys was loose. I didn't pay any attention until it popped off and wouldn't go back on yesterday. The plastic things on the underside of the actual key, not the plastic 2 piece thing, are not there.
HP want me to send the whole unit away for a repair which seems excessive. I cannot do this for any period of time as I use this for work. I just need the replacement key and can't find one.
Is this what I'm to expect from HP? It seems rather silly.

Single keys are not a replacement part. The only fix is to replace the entire keyboard which is a major task on current model laptops. No laptop maker I know about supples single keys as a replacement part. Sometimes on some models you can find vendors on eBay or such who "part out" keyboards and sell single keys, which you may or may not be able to pop on depending on how much damage was done to the attaching points on the keyboard.
