The left hinge mount to the base (under keyboard) is broken. The hinge is not mounted securely, with the screw insets coming loose. This has led to the lower half of the base encloser breaking around the screws that mount it on as it is levered open by the hinge when tilting the screen.
The base now continually pops open when I open up the laptop and when it is open the screen is wonky as the loose hinge cannot support the weight of the screen on it.
Is there a repair I could do or have done to resolve this issue?
