I bought two of the HP 14 DF0023CL from Costco with the extended warranty. The left touch pad mouse button is partially broken on both keyboard after about a year. Is there an easy fix to this problem? Seems like the material used for the button is of very poor quality.

Easy fix --no.
Not only would you have to find the part, and HP is likely going to want to sell you a whole keyboard top, including the touch pad, you would also have to find someone willing to disassemble the PC to replace the touchpad button.

I'm not defending HP, but just mentioning that the current trend in recent laptops is to sell devices that are not repairable.
I have a new HP Ryzen laptop -- and it is sealed shut. There is no way to get to anything, plus, it has a "chicklet" keyboard -- so if any key goes bad, the whole top would need to be replaced.
My 10-year old HP has all kinds of access panels, allowing me to replace just about anything but the graphics chip, and I have already replaced the keyboard once -- for the whopping sum of $25.
So, it's not just HP that is preventing us from servicing our own laptops.
