Hi, my wife's HP Envy laptop has the same problem as many other users report that the right hand side hinge has broken the screen away from the case and caused the case to split. I understand this fault is the focus for a class action against HP in the United States as many users have complained about the faulty design and the problems this has caused. How do we resolve this please? The laptop either needs repair- and as a faulty product this should be at the manufacturers cost, or replacement, also at the manufacturers cost. My preference is to try and resolve this amicably, however as there is ample evidence that this product was "not fit for the purpose for which it was supplied", I reserve the option to take this to UK Trading Standards and/or the Consumer Rights Organisation "Which" as I am a member of that organisation, and they are willing to assist legal action if required to resolve this.
