Hello, my webcam does not work on any apps. I tried to find it in device manager including hidden devices but still nothing. Where can I find the driver I need and make my webcam work? Thank you

Check for Physical Webcam Issues
- If your laptop has a privacy shutter, make sure it is open.
- Some HP laptops have a physical key (F8 or F10) to enable/disable the webcam. Try pressing it.
Check Camera Settings
- Press Windows + I to open Settings.
- Go to Privacy & security > Camera.
- Ensure Camera access and Let apps access your camera are turned ON.
- Scroll down and check if the app you are using has permission to access the webcam.
Run the Camera Troubleshooter
- Open Settings (Windows + I).
- Go to System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
- Find Camera and click Run.
Check Device Manager
- Press Windows + X, then click Device Manager.
- Expand Imaging Devices or Cameras (if available).
- If your webcam is listed:
- Right-click and select Update driver > Search automatically for drivers.
- If an update fails, right-click and select Uninstall device, then restart your laptop.
- If the webcam is not listed, click View > Show hidden devices. If it appears, follow the above steps.
Download and Install Webcam Driver
- Go to HP Support Website.
- Enter your laptop’s model number.
- Find the Drivers & Software section.
- Look for the Camera or Imaging driver and download the latest version.
- Install the driver and restart your laptop.
Reset or Reinstall Camera App
- Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
- Search for Camera.
- Click Advanced options > Reset.

Check for Windows Updates
- Open Settings > Windows Update.
- Click Check for updates and install any available updates.
If the issue persists, try connecting an external webcam to check if the problem is hardware-related.
