HP Touchsmart 15-af152n

For the past three to four days my laptop hasn't been charging by intensely heating up the charger to the point of a burning smell. I have tried using different chargers and it still doesn't work. I have slight suspicion that this was caused by a sudden power outage the other day but I'm not a technology expert, so I have no idea.

Hi,

Please stop using it and bring it to a technician for a properly check. Power outage may cause un-predictable damages.

Regards.

does the smell coming from laptop or the charger?

Does all laptop is heating up or just a battery?

Trip to so called technician might cost you big $$, so check thosae questions first. In case of power fluctuations adaptor will burn first, then the battery, then the rest.

You can not use any adaptor, only the one designated for your laptop, wrong adaptor might burn your battery and laptop.
