  1. Check Keyboard and Button Drivers:

    • Open Device Manager (you can search for it by typing "Device Manager" in the Windows search bar).
    • Expand the "Keyboards" section and right-click on your keyboard device. Select "Update driver" to check for any available updates.
    • Similarly, check under "Human Interface Devices" for any input devices and update their drivers.
  2. Run Windows Troubleshooter:

    • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
    • Scroll down and find "Keyboard" and "Hardware and Devices," then run the troubleshooter for both.
  3. Reset Keyboard Settings:

    • Sometimes resetting the keyboard settings can fix unresponsive keys. Go to Control Panel > Ease of Access > Ease of Access Center and ensure there are no unnecessary settings enabled that might affect keyboard input.
  4. Check Airplane Mode Settings:

    • Try manually toggling Airplane Mode from the Action Center or the network settings. If it turns on and off correctly here, it might be a keyboard hardware issue.
  5. BIOS Update:

    • Ensure your BIOS is up to date. This can often resolve hardware-related issues. Visit the HP Support website to check for any BIOS updates available for your device model.
  6. Check for Physical Damage:

    • Examine the keyboard and keys for any signs of physical damage or debris that might be obstructing the keys.
  7. Perform a Hard Reset:

    • Turn off the laptop, disconnect all peripherals, and remove the AC power adapter and battery. Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds, then reconnect everything and turn on the laptop.

Please let us know if this resolves your issue or if you need any further assistance—we’re happy to help!
