Hi @SiddharthKumar,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
1. Check for Stuck Keys
- Inspect the Caps Lock key to see if it is physically stuck or if there is any debris under the key.
- If necessary, gently clean around the key with compressed air.
2. Restart Your Notebook
- Save any open documents and restart your laptop. Sometimes a simple reboot can reset the keyboard state.
- Click on the Start menu, select Power, and then Restart.
3. Update Keyboard Driver
- Ensure that your keyboard driver is up to date. An outdated or corrupted driver can cause issues with key functionality.
- Right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager.
- Expand Keyboards.
- Right-click on your keyboard device and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software and follow the on-screen instructions.
4. Check for Windows Updates
- Make sure your Windows 11 is up to date with the latest updates and patches.
- Go to Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.
- Download and install any available updates.
5. Run Hardware Troubleshooter
- Run the built-in troubleshooter for the keyboard.
- Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
- Find Keyboard and click on Run.
6. Check Keyboard Settings
- Sometimes keyboard settings can cause issues. Check if the Filter Keys option is turned on.
- Go to Settings > Accessibility > Keyboard.
- Ensure that Filter Keys is turned off.
I hope this helps.
