@RevanZaki, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The "CMOS Checksum is invalid" error on your HP Notebook - 14s-cf0069tx typically indicates that the BIOS settings have been reset or corrupted, often due to a depleted CMOS battery or a power-related issue.

Does your laptop have a CMOS battery?

Yes, most HP laptops, including the 14s-cf0069tx, do have a CMOS battery, but in many modern models, it's soldered or integrated into the motherboard or powered by the main battery. This makes it harder to replace individually.

Steps to Fix the CMOS Checksum Error

Option A: Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Disconnect the AC adapter and remove the main battery (if removable).
  3. Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds.
  4. Reconnect the battery and power adapter.
  5. Power on the laptop.

Option B: CMOS Reset via Key Combo

Try this HP-specific CMOS reset:

  1. With the laptop off, press and hold Windows + V.
  2. While holding, press the Power button once.
  3. Keep holding Windows + V for about 5 seconds, then release.
  4. If successful, the laptop may beep or show a message that the CMOS was reset.

Option C: BIOS Reset

  1. Power on the laptop and immediately press Esc repeatedly.
  2. Then press F10 to enter BIOS Setup.
  3. Use arrow keys to navigate to "Exit" > "Load Setup Defaults".
  4. Save and exit.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Thanks for your reply

I was using your Option A steps, I'm no longer getting the error when I'm opening my laptop, but the battery still stuck at 3%, I has waiting for hours and still not increasing, when I try that methods again it back to 0%, I think it's my CMOS or main battery has been broken, once again thank you 🙏
