I get a CMOS checksum error on boot up. I can't find a CMOS battery on the motherboard. Does this computer use a CMOS battery?

Hi:

 

Chapter 3, page 17 of the service manual indicates that there is a RTC (CMOS) battery.

 

HP Pavilion Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide

 

But there is no procedure in the manual for how to remove it or where it is located.

 

On many notebooks, you have to remove the motherboard to get to where the RTC battery is located.
