dv6-6192sf to 17-e024sf
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hello everybody,

I've crashed my laptop HP Pavillon model dv6-6192sf which RAM seems to be 2 x 4Go DDR3.

I'd like to transfer these 2 memories cards to my other  HP Pavillon 17 Notebook PC whose RAM is only 4Go (model 17-e024sf).

I've not yet opened the trap to inspect if there are also 2 slots but acording to my own web researches with my model, it should be the case.

All memories in these 2 laptops are genuine and HP original ones.

Do you know if it can work ? On 2 the memory cards I'm to tranfer, there is a stick where appears "REPLACE WITH HP SPARE 621569-001 CX1190"

Thank for help

Hello

Unless I'm mistaken, your two models have a few years of difference.
i have not yet checked and not sure if i have the dv6 documents, but little chance that it will work

ok as if by chance not found the characteristic pages directly from the support pages, but see the manuals

Ok, good to know, but you've lost frequency, haven't you?
for the dv6 they were slower if I'm not mistaken?

funny, if we can put it that way, a lot of times people buy ram modules , and it doesn't work ..
I had done the same thing with my h9 1228, I recovered modules from another older HP
and certainly, I lost a little in frequency, but everything is well "married"
and I went from 4 to 10 gb, a little better all the same
Well I said a little luck, and it was your day!
