Hello,
Please help me with the following technical issue, to know exactly which part / model I am buying and if they are compatible:
,, HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 17-cd1040nq (2X4Y6EA) ,, has a free Slot / Strip type M2-PCIe3.0, to add an ,, Intel® Optane ™ H10 Memory with solid state storage: 32GB + 512GB, M.2 80mm PCIe 3.0, 3D XPoint ™, QLC ????!
The HP Laptop Motherboard has an "Intel® HM470 Chipset", supports an "Intel® Optane Memory" (does not include the H10 + model), supports IRST and supports PCI-Express v.3.0 Configuration = x1, x2, x4 and PCIe-Band-No = 16), the problem is whether it supports the motherboard BUS-bus (there are no details about the laptop board, but the CPU and main-chipset support the same speed -on-bus-BUS-8 GT / s).
The Intel® Core 7 i7-10750H CPU supports all the same requirements/identical as the CHIPSET.
However, I don't know if the "Intel® Optane Memory ™ H10 with solid state storage" is also compatible with DDR4 and SSD-M2.
- What do the specialists from Tehnic-HP think ?! What do you recommend to me ?
I am waiting for an answer on the e-mail address: [Personal Information Removed]
Thank you !
Regards,
Florin Bordeianu

Definitely supported. This is a single M.2 SSD that has both mass storage (512 gig) and Optane acceleration in the same package, You will have to migrate the OS over to this disk when installed and configure Optane acceleration using the Intel Rapid Storage app.
Based on the specs, the performance of this device will be about the same as a Pro level NVME M.2 SSD.

The series does have option
32 GB (Optane) + 512 GB solid-state drive
That means your machine is compatible with Intel® Optane ™ H10 Memory with solid state storage
