The M.2 SSD slot is PCIe Gen 3.0.
A PCIe Gen 4.0 NVMe SSD will work but it will not run at its maximum advertised read/write speeds from the Gen 3.0 slot.
Since notebook processors are integral parts of the motherboard, you can normally look up the PCIe specs by looking up the processor specs on the AMD or Intel websites, as applicable.
If you look up the specs for your notebook's AMD Ryzen™ 5 5500U processor, under the Connectivity section, you will see that the PCIe generation is 3.0.
