Hi I have had my laptop for 2 years, and it has suddenly stopped working.

When I turn it on I get the blink fault and nothing on screen.  I have tried doing the reset with key combination, I have let it run flat and cleaned it with compressed air, and it's still coming up with 3 slow blinks and 5 fast - which suggests a hardware fault. This is the second time this has happened, and I had to get a replacement after 3 months of having the laptop.

I'm literally on my last tether, and I really don't know what to do now.

I paid £1000 for this laptop, and I am appalled that HP Support aren't willing to help - can anybody suggest what I can do because I paid a lot of money for something that should last longer than 2 years.

Thanks

Hi

Beep2015.png

The age is crucial, and it may be too old to benefit from any Warranty / Guarantee.

Obviously when we were in the EU you had a 2 year warranty with the seller...

https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/bills/article-1677034/Two-year-warranty-EU-law.html

current status is very fluid.

Try taking it back to the seller (I know we cannot leave the house), hopefully not Currys/PCWorld, with a rejection letter and getting a replacement.

Push hard for your rights, we are still under some EU terms and conditions until DEC 31st.

OR

try and get an expensive repair done yourself.

Not really helped have I?
