I'm having a hard time understanding if I have the same model as others.
i am loking for the best processor for Pavilion g7 1235sf,
- motherboard:    hewlett-packard model 3568 v 12.27
- apu:    e2 3000m with amd radion hd 6380g

- Display:    diagonal *17.3"
Processor frequency *1.8 GHz
Processor family * AMD E
Processor model *E2-3000M
Memory:
Internal memory *4 GB
Internal memory type *DDR3-SDRAM

thanks Huffer the manual is really helpful, but i think i will go with the AMD A6-3420M it is sold for less then $8.

I was trying to compare the voltage etc, going from the A6 upto the A8-3520M you mentioned. A friend suggested I might need to flash the BIOS or at minimum adjust the power settings. Can you advise?

HP Recommended

Flashing the BIOS is not absolutely necessary but not a bad idea just on general principle. You do not need to mess with any power settings. HP sold this laptop using the same motherboard with an A8-3520M so it is set up to run that processor. It will be plug and play.
