Product: HP Spectre x360 Laptop - 15-eb0053dx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Device Information:
- Model: HP Spectre x360 2 in 1
- Device Name: JM-HP
- Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz (2.59 GHz)
- RAM: 16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable)
- GPU: Nvidia GTX 1650ti Max Q
Issue Description:
I've been experiencing two recurring issues with my HP Spectre x360:
- CPU Throttling: Occasionally, my CPU gets stuck at 0.78 GHz, causing significant performance drops.
- Slow Charging: My laptop charges very slowly. For example, it has been stuck at 15% for the past 20 minutes.
Steps Taken:
Reinstalled Battery Management Drivers:
- Forced Windows to reinstall the Battery Management Drivers via Device Manager.
Restarted the Laptop:
- Multiple restarts did not resolve the issue.
Ran Windows Update:
- Ensured that all Windows updates are installed, but the problem persists.
Updated BIOS:
- Updating the BIOS temporarily resolves the issue, but I'm just reapplying the same latest BIOS patch that is already installed on my laptop.
Despite these steps, the problems keep recurring, and I am unsure why the BIOS update only provides a temporary fix. Any suggestions or solutions to permanently resolve these issues would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
