I am using HP Omen 15 dc1054nr with Windows 10 64-bit, version 1903. Processor is i7 9750H.
While playing Assassins's Creed Odyssey, the CPU temperature is going insanely high like once it went over to 97 C. I know that gaming laptops do tend to get hot, but this seems a bit too much. It doesn't stay at those temperatures for long, and after playing for more than an hour, it remains somewhere between 75 C to 85 C. Can someone please let me know if this is normal, or should I get a laptop cooler/vacuum or something to keep it cool. Room temperature 20 C.

97C is at the high end of acceptable but not abnormal as long as it does not stay there long. That is a demanding game and very powerful hardware that does a lot of "work" in the physics sense and generates a lot of heat. Keep the rear of the laptop elevated when gaming and you should be OK. If it goes any higher and stays there for more than a minute or so now we have something to worry about.
