Oops  I mistyped I meant the T5200, wich does have a FSB of 533Mhz. Also, I've read that some people disabled a CPU core so their system that doesn't support 2 cores can still boot, is this possible on the C300?

Hi:

You can check your notebook's BIOS and see if there is an option to disable the multicore option.

Even with the latest bios update, there isn't:(

Again, thanks a lot for your help and I'll update this post when I'll receive the CPUs.

Anytime.

The setting may not show up until you install a dual core processor.

Hi!

So I received both CPUs, sadly the T5200 doesn't work at all 😞 no post, no bios, no bips, just a black screen.

The Core Solo does work so it's still an upgrade from the Celeron 420 but the Core Solo is only 40% faster, is still single core, and doesn't support 64bits 😞

But thanks a lot for your help! I almost finished repairing the others broken parts of this pc so it will be brand new very soon, and upgraded thanks to you.

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance.

At least you were able to upgrade the processor a little.
