I was just wondering the best CPU upgrade for this laptop. I got it from my sister and have put a lot of time into it. Right now, it has an AMD Athon Dual-Core QL-64, and the bios version is F .38 which I think is the newest.

Thanks for the help.

So just double checking, would the best CPU for this CQ60 be the AMD Turion ZM-82?

HP Recommended

You're very welcome.

Yes, the ZM-82 would be the best processor you can install of those listed.

Okay, thanks a lot. I've had this laptop for 3 years now and have been trying to get it back to its "former glory" but it's hard finding parts for something this old.

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance.

Check on eBay for used but tested and working processors.
