On the processor, no. That is soldered to the motherboard. On memory, yes. There is a single slot that can take up to 8 gigs but you have to remove the motherboard to get to the memory slot:

I have another question then, I found intel i3 3217u with motherboard on amazon for 130$, is it worth buying, would I see some difference in performance? Also can I use ram from this mobo I have and put it on mobo with i3 or I have to buy a new one? And last question, how do ssd-s work in laptops, I have kingston ssd in my pc and I would like to replace hdd from my laptop and put that ssd, can I do that?

The i3 motherboard would be a major improvement. Can you install it yourself? Otherwise the total cost is going to get out of hand. Yes you can reuse the existing RAM, wifi card, etc. And yes you can install an SSD. You might get out the calculator and figure how much it will cost compared to just getting a new laptop. Yours is 3rd gen series which is not yet quite obsolete, but HP is now selling 7th gen systems.

I don't know how to install it myself but my friend does so he can do it for me, I checked 7th gen HP laptops and the cheapest one here in Croatia ( where I live ) with i3 is 550$ so I think it's worth to take older i3 3217u, shipping could be only problem, but thanks a lot!
