I am looking to upgrade my CPU in my laptop, however, I cannot find anything on compatibility, It is a socketed CPU of course.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.    Here is some info.

Motherboard
Manufacturer Hewlett-Packard
Model 169B (Socket FS1)
Version KBC Version 18.1A
Chipset Vendor AMD
Chipset Model K12 Bridge
Chipset Revision 00
Southbridge Vendor AMD

@SurgingIO , welcome to the forum.

 

Here  is the Maintenance and Service Guide for the laptop.  In Chapter 4, Removal and replacement procedures,  Pages 77 thru 79, lists the compatible processors and gives instructions on how to replace them.  You will only be able to use the AMD processors.  The Intel processors are for a different version of your motherboard.
