 I have an Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU 6405U @ 2.40GHz and I wanted to know how much ram I can put into my laptop.

Giving us the CPU has nothing to do with how much memory can be installed.  Please reply with the actual laptop model.  Some laptops have 2 memory slots (sometimes 1 is used other times both may be filled), some have soldered, non-replaceable/upgradable memory etc.
